I'm an engineer by training and a CEO, board member and adviser. Over the last three decades I've led and grown professional services firms, advised some of the most complex institutions in the world, and worked alongside boards and leadership teams on the questions that matter most: succession, governance, culture and how to build organisations that endure.
Today I work with leaders, founders, investors and boards navigating structural change. The thread running through everything I do is the same: that the most resilient businesses are the most connected ones.
Most of what I do comes back to the same observation. Companies tend to look for the answer in strategy or technology. Usually it's somewhere else. Cultures that don't quite trust each other. Boards that aren't asking the right question. The bit of the system that nobody owns. That's the work I find myself drawn to.
